The whole smart series is wonderful. The lessons are interesting and relatively non-repetitive.
We don't normally use workbooks (kids are unschooled) but we keep parts of this series around for when they do want to study something in a more school-like way. These books make it easy to comprehend the subject matter quickly, and are clearly organized so that the kids can skip around to work on the parts that they want, or that they feel they need more studying. Emily This book has great stories that interest kids. It could use a better writing concepts but overall the book is good with lots of reviews to ensure the concepts are understood Melody This book was bought to help with school/home work and it has been great. My son is understanding the concepts more and I have seen a considerable improvement in his marks.

Elizabeth I have these Complete English Smart books for gr. 1 and 2 and really feel they are excellent resources for my class and would like to purchace the books for grades 3, 4, 5 as well. I have a wonderful book called Complete English Smart Grade 1 and would like to know if you have a French version of this book Carolyn M. I bought the Complete EnglishSmart for my kid in Costco. The books are so useful and he has got great progress in English. The important thing is: he is interested in the stories in the books, and I never worry that I am pushing him to study.
This text (Complete EnglishSmart (R&U) Gr. 5) is both stimulating for the young learnerand enriching. The sections are not too long, moving onto new and exciting topics with structured critical thinking, grammar, and vocabulary exercises. For the teacher/tutor, the texts present complete lesson units which do not require extra prep. Discussions arise naturally from the context topics, and are age-appropriate, allowing the student to dig even further into the information given.This isa gradual integrated language skills based text which is absolutely fun to use.

Chili Master I love your booksI have been using the EnglishSmart books for all my grades from 4 to 8, and lately the MathSmart, which could almost serve as a textbook of its own. It really is much better written than a lot of the other stuff out there. Last school year, my daughter attended the Irwin Park Elementary School for Kindergarten Division in West Vancouver. At the end of the school year before we came back to China, one tutor for my daughter's English reading, who is a teacher in a local public secondary school recommended the Complete EnglishSmart 1 to us. My daughter likes the book so much that she takes it as her most favourite book.
